A crawler spider boom lift is a special type of aerial work equipment that combines the functions of a crawler chassis and a spider boom (also known as a multi-section boom). The platform typically consists of an articulated arm with multiple retractable arms, similar to a spider’s legs. These boom sections are telescopic and swivel horizontally and vertically to provide multi-angle working range and flexibility. The crawler spider boom lift usually has a larger working range and cantilever length, which can achieve wider operations in complex working environments.
Unlike traditional scissor lifts or straight boom aerial work platforms, the crawler spider boom lift is also equipped with a tracked undercarriage, similar to a crawler excavator or bulldozer. Its chassis design provides enhanced maneuverability and stability, enabling the platform to move over uneven ground, slopes, narrow passages and other complex worksites.
